Old Vs. New

My new year's resolution is to not buy anything new for 6 months.  I tried this a couple years ago (for a year) and saved $10,000!  It's amazing what you can do without and what you save in such a little amount of time.

You can buy necessities, but nothing else.  Necessities, include soap, tolitries, hair product, etc.  Gifts need to be bought at a second hand store or made.  This is difficult, but fun to try to be creative.  You may want to make someone a scarf, meal, free babysitting coupon.

Watch how quickly the $$$ adds up and you can begin paying off bills and saving for the future.
